The Constructivist Celebration II is coming to NYSCATE (the New York state educational technology conference) on Saturday, November 17, 2007. This event will be a daylong hands-on workshop celebrating the fun of creative learning with technology. If you are going to be in Rochester, NY for NYSCATE, be sure to sign up for this pre-conference workshop.

( More details | Registration link )

This event will be similar to the first Constructivist Celebration we held before NECC in Atlanta in June. We’ll spend the day playing and learning to use open-ended tools for multimedia, data, and programming. Reconnect with your inner learner and rekindle the joy of playful discovery!

Software (real stuff, not demos!) from Constructivist Consortium member companies comes with the registration fee of $65, which also includes lunch.

Registration includes:

  • Inspiration software for each participant (Inspiration 8 and InspireData)
  • Tech4Learning software for each participant (Frames, Pixie, ImageBlender, WebBlender, Twist)
  • LCSI software for each participant (MicroWorlds EX)
  • $50 off FableVision coupon towards products in their catalog

As you can see, the software is well worth the registration fee, but we really hope the big benefit is that experiencing learning technology in a guided, yet open-ended way helps teachers take this back to their classrooms. No PowerPoints at the front of the room here – we’ll be walking the talk, big time!

Hope to see you there!

Sylvia
